G&L LB-100, 2023 USA model , One piece Ash body, Factory paperwork & case, Gorgeous

I have a 2023 G&L USA LB-100 bass here with it's factory case, and it's factory paperwork as shown. This one weighs 9lbs 6.5 ounces. Not bad for a full scale bass. It is stock with the exception of an upgraded pickup. This one has a Lakland Neopunch made by Hansen pickups. I do not have the original.

Conditionally this guitar is great. I found just a faintest bit of swirling and usage on the plastic pickguard. But i can find no such  marks on the guitar wood.

It has no buckle rash, or dings. Any superficial swirling will be minimal to non-existent. I do not see any patterns of any type of that, just a little bit on the plastic pickguard. The guitar is immaculate.

The neck likewise shows one small indentation type mark on the very top of the headstock ridge, per my inspection of it, i do not think that is playwear. It appears to be there before the factory finish and is just part of the nature of a hard crafted instrument. The maple is nice and clean throughout, there is no fretwear or sharp fret edges. The neck back is nice and clean with no grime. The setup is excellent, typical factory perfect setup, it plays flawlessly. And the electronics are working perfectly like they should.

This ones rates a 9.7/10 and grades as excellent. This is the best kind of used guitar. Recently made, and very clean.

This is essentially the G&L version of a Precision bass. Unique to this bass is the 6 screw neck joint as most basses have 4. The neck joint is structurally the most important part of the guitar and it is sonically a point of sound transfer. This definitely is part of the LB-100 tone. The 6 screws makes for a tighter fit which aids tonal transfer and also note that the neck fits deeper into the body not unlike long vs short tenon necks when comparing glued in set necks. I think the 6 screws is a great idea and so did Leo Fender. It is not small, but it feels nimble.

Tonally i find that it is very articulate. Not a booming powerhouse bass. But very articulate and balanced. It has a nice rich woody tone. G&L instruments to my ears have always leaned toward chime with clean tones, transparency , and sweet bell like overtones. I notice this bass stays cleaner with preamp gain more than my others basses. I find that it also sounds a little "faster" than other P-basses i compare it to. The notes respond quickly. Overall it is a bass connoisseur's ton. This is a tone that you can really hear subtle nuances in.

Also this one features an ash body. Ash has a snappy, percussive tone. Very punchy and lively and this trait is referred to as "pop" by ash aficionados. So get an ash instrument while you can. It is clearly being priced out of the guitar market lately.

I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
