Bohm Dynamic Expander 4x9 80s // Multitimbral FM synth with BBD FX; All expansions installed.

This one‘s a real hidden gem from Germany from the 80s! Almost never popping up fully expanded so grab your chance.

Think Yamaha DX, TX81z or V50, but 4 part multitimbral and with multiple analog FX boards installed to spice up the sounds in a unique way. It also has a card slot for both ROM and RAM cards.

Developed in 1987 by the german organ factory Böhm (formerly known as Dr. Böhm) the Dynamic 4x9 is a 4-part multitimbral with 9 voices per part 4 Operator FM Synthesizer. This one has both the optional Bucket Brigade Effects Phaser board + Ensemble board + pedal board installed. And it‘s got Yamaha (YM2203) ICs.

Its in crazy nice optical condition too; almost like new!

4x9 means you can route 4 Midi Channels, each with 9 Voices, separately. You got a stereo out and you got four single outs to mix each of the four channels separately. Dynamic means you got aftertouch and velocity.

Have you seen the connections on the back? Double Midi ports, seperate outputs per part.

This device seems to work fine as far as i tested it, but since i dont have an english manual I am not able to test all the functions. Therefor sold as is. And: its very, very heavy. Build like a high quality german tank. So shipping is a bit more then other modules of the same size.

The attached video gives an idea what the 4x9 sounds like, its NOT the unit I am selling of course.
