The Ibanez AZES40 is part of the AZ Expansion Series, taking inspiration from the flagship Ibanez AZ line, the AZES31 delivers a HSS pickup configuration, great playability, massive tonal variety, and great looks, all at a price that'll appeal to beginners and intermediate players alike.

The AZES40 features a classic double cut away body paired with a maple neck topped with jatoba fingerboard set with dot inlays and 22 medium frets. With its 650 mm fingerboard radius and 25" scale, the AZES40 delivers great playability, something beginners and more experienced players will appreciate.

Ibanez have loaded the AZE40 with a HSS pickup configuration - with a humbucker at the bridge paired, with single coils in the neck and middle positions. The pickups are wired through a master volume, master tone, 5-way switch and Ibanez's dyna-MIX9 switching system via the Alter switch - giving you access nine sound variations that can switch between humbucker and single coil modes with just a flick of the mini switch.

Other appointments include a mono-unit output jack for reliable, for long term enjoyment with minimal jack socket maintenance, a T106 tremolo bridge equipped with newly developed comfort round steel saddles, and rock-solid Ibanez die cast machine heads.

Whether you're a beginner in the market for a high quality beginner guitar, or a more experienced player wanting a new addition to your collection, the Ibanez AZES40 is a superb option.
