The Constellation OD is arguably the most versatile single overdrive from Collateral. Acting as a crystal-clear buffer when in bypass, its structure harks back to the low-mid gain tones of the ProCo Rat. However, the Constellation features asymmetric clipping, offering odd harmonics with a beautiful and complex texture, while keeping its bass intact, unlike its rodent cousin.
Moreover, the Constellation operates from 9 to 18v, providing the guitarist with more or less headroom and compression, making it an excellent pedal to push an amplifier already on the edge-of-breakup. Its definition and string separation make it an exceptional pedal for playing everything from blues, rock, fusion, and even jazz!
