The hype surrounding the Klon Centaur has led to unbelievable prices for this pedal. But long before that, we had embarked on a mission to correct some details in this classic guitar pedal - from years of work came the Icarus, which has its DNA based on the Klon, but with its own details, like the gain control, which is linear, meaning: you can have subtle doses of overdrive starting from the 9 o'clock position and then increase the gain according to each one's taste. In the original pedal, it's very difficult to get gain before the 12 o'clock position.

Another adjustment the Icarus has compared to the original is in the treble control, which we have shifted a bit towards the mid-bass region. This makes it the best Klon-style drive to use with Marshall amplifiers, for example. Overall, it's a delight to have one of the most popular overdrive and booster pedals in history. With the Icarus, it's the chance to have a Klon with the best components on the market, spending much less.

We like the Icarus so much that in our opinion, every guitarist should have one, whether to thicken the sound a la John Mayer, to push other drives, or to crank up the gain and have it as your main overdrive.
