There's no substitute for top-quality tonewoods. That's a major reason the Martin DRSGT is such a wonderful value - it uses solid tonewoods that typically aren't found on guitars in this price range. The top is solid Sitka spruce, a choice wood for organic, well-balanced tones. Back and sides are made from solid sapele, which is similar to mahogany in terms of richness and depth. The top is braced with solid Sitka spruce using Martin's A-Frame X-1 pattern for maximum resonance and projection. The DRSGT's smooth-playing, modified low oval neck is crafted from solid sipo, and the belly bridge and fingerboard are made of Black Richlite, an ultra-stable (and sustainable) material with a similar look, feel, and sound to ebony. Traditional Martin craftsmanship makes the DRSGT an excellent value - it even includes a hardshell case to protect your investment.
