Fender Reissue ‘50s Precision Bass, CIJ (Crafted in Japan). Sunburst finish, maple fretboard with black dot inlays, open-gear tuning machines, single coil pickup, black pickguard. Q0+5 CIJ indicates 2002-2004.
Fender's Serial Number Lookup lists this as a '51 Reissue, but please note that this has a contoured body like a '54.
The most obvious cosmetic flaw is a worn out section of the finish on the bottom of the bass near the strap button. It was there when I purchased the bass. The frets are somewhat worn and there are some minor imperfections on the fretboard that are noticeable under certain angles of light. Otherwise the bass is in great shape and plays very nicely! Weighs in at just over 9lbs. I don’t have a case or bag for this one.
