1984-1987 Squier Stratocaster Japan

Howdy. Up for sale is an E series Squier Stratocaster MIJ.

This is cool MIJ Strat that is going on 40 years old now. It is guitar the Squier ST-362 model. It is basically original except for the frets and has taken on the look of a vintage guitar. The neck finish has yellowed a bit and the body has number nicks, dings, scratches and some lacquer checks.

The plastic parts have yellowed and the pickguard looks aged as well. I don't have the rear trem cover.

This is the '62 style guitar with a slab rosewood fretboard and vintage style trem. The guitar has been refretted with Fender vintage style frets. These are slightly taller and wider than the original frets on these guitars. It has the stamped bridge saddles and full sized trem block. The string trees have been changed to the stamped vintage style. The switch has been upgraded to a US CRL-1452.

The guitar weighs about 7.9 pounds. The neck profile is a round medium C that gets a little thinner towards the headstock. One of the tuner caps is missing from the high E string. The tuning key works fine. It could be replaced with an original tuning key or the same Gotoh without the Fender name.

The playability and sound are good. The neck is straight and the truss rod works.

These are really good guitars for something in this price range. The price has slowly been going upwards to where some people ask over $1000. I love the 80's and 90's MIJ Squiers and have about 6 of them now.

This guitar is sold as described and no returns. Shipping is $75 in the US and $175 to many countries. This guitar includes a gig bag.
