This VCO features a purely analog saw core and offers three selectable modes: ART, 1V/Oct, and LFO, making it an ideal foundational element for ART systems. It's engineered for assembling analog polyphonic synthesizers using individual modules or for creating multi-mono configurations in ART mode. In ART mode, the ATX1 autonomously adjusts for tuning, including temperature fluctuations. The 1V/Oct mode allows the ATX1 to function as a traditional modular VCO. Meanwhile, LFO mode lowers the frequency range, perfect for adding vibrato effects to other ATX1 units and more. The ATX1 also generates various waveshapes, controllable manually or via CV. It supports classic FM, PWM, and hard sync features. Additionally, a specialized Gate Out in ART mode controls voice envelopes or any modulation that is in sync with the voice. We regard the ATX1 as the finest analog VCO we've ever developed.
