If you're reading this, you likely know the "Gurian" story and the long list of guitar greats who have owned and played these guitars. And you probably know about the quality, playability, tone, and value of this brand. So I'm not going there as you can further research this guitar better than I can describe it.

What I wlll say is this is an exceptionally clean instrument. I changed the tuner buttons but have included the originals. I changed the original black pick guard (also included) to a tortoise pick guard that Michael Gurian cut himself because he no longer stocks the black material. The case is in decent shape with all latches working. The original Hang Tag is also included.

Original nut & saddle, original ebony bridge pins too. There are NO CRACKS on this guitar. Original neck set and perfect action. No buzzing. Good frets show some wear as does the ebony fret board. Just honest playwear that requires no repairs. (2) dings on the top (pictured) are the most significant imperfections, there are some other tiny dings and very light pick marks, and there are some camera reflections that may appear as flaws but are not. BTW, I listed it as a 1976. That's my best guess based on my research, but it could possibly be a year more or less...not a big deal either way.

Per most Gurians, the nut is smallish (1 5/8") but the "C" shaped neck profile still provides a "handful" if that makes sense? I think the standard scale length for these is 25.6". Very pretty, silky, tight, straight sitka spruce top and exceptionally straight grained rosewood back. Of course, all solid.

Tone is subjective so I won't spend much time here. But if I must say something, this Gurian, like all others I've played and heard, is complex and distinctive. I've used it for picking, strumming and fingerstyle. Regardless of the method, YOU WILL BE HEARD.

I've enjoyed this guitar very much, but promised my wife years ago, when one comes in, one must go. And I just bought another.

You'll not be disappointed. I've bought and sold more guitars over the years than I care to admit. This is an honest representation of a really nice, high quality, boutique guitar. Its value can only rise. I'm happy to address any questions I'm qualified to answer. I'll pack it CAREFULLY and ship as soon as I can. I'LL SHIP ONLY TO THE LOWER 48 IN THE US.

I DO NOT WANT THIS GUITAR TO BE RETURNED. IF THERE IS EVEN THE SLIGHTEST CHANCE YOU'LL CONTRACT A CASE OF "BUYER'S REMORSE", LOOK ELSEWHERE!

Good Luck & Thanks for Looking!

Kindly,

Rick
