Gibson Hummingbird Faded Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural

Gibson's Hummingbird Faded Sitka spruce-mahogany acoustic-electric guitar brings the iconic tone and style of the original Hummingbird into the present day. Gibson is proud to offer this meticulously crafted acoustic-electric that's designed to inspire. The solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides produce a balanced tone with shimmering highs, a punchy midrange and controlled low end. The guitar's rounded neck profile and 24.75" scale length provide a comfortable playing experience for all.

Built-in L.R. Baggs VTC Pickup Amplifies Your Sound

The Hummingbird Faded comes equipped with an L.R. Baggs VTC pickup, allowing you to amplify your acoustic tone with stunning realism. Simply connect the guitar to an acoustic amplifier or PA system, and the VTC pickup accurately translates the nuances of your playing style and the guitar's acoustic properties. Whether on stage or in the studio, the VTC pickup gives you the power to share the Hummingbird Faded's captivating voice with audiences of any size.

Vintage-Inspired Style Meets Modern Playability

While the Hummingbird Faded pays homage to Gibson's iconic 1960 Hummingbird model with its square-shouldered dreadnought body, split parallelogram inlays and Hummingbird pickguard art, several upgrades bring enhanced playability. Its slim neck profile and 24.75" scale length provide a comfortable feel for most players.

Sitka Spruce Top and Mahogany Back Produce Legendary Tone

The Hummingbird Faded owes its rich, balanced tone to the pairing of solid Sitka spruce and mahogany tonewoods. The tight, straight grain of the Sitka spruce top provides a focused, articulate tone with shimmering highs. Solid mahogany back and sides add warmth, depth and controlled low end. Together, these tonewoods produce the balanced, versatile tone that has made the Hummingbird an iconic acoustic guitar.

Premium Appointments and Gibson Quality

From its mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays to its bone nut and saddle, the Hummingbird Faded exhibits exquisite attention to detail. Gold Gotoh tuners provide tuning stability you can rely on. A hardshell case is included for protection when transporting this gorgeous instrument. Like all Gibson acoustics, the Hummingbird Faded is built using only the finest materials and time-honored techniques, ensuring inspiring tone and playability for life.
