Joe Bonamassa is one of the most famous living blues guitarists of all time with his virtuosity, passionate playing style and love for the blues. He has been making history with his music for over 30 years, has received numerous Grammy nominations for his work and is known for his meticulous selection of instruments with his Nerdville collection.

To pay tribute to this unique musician, Epiphone launched a limited edition signature model in 2021 that combines all the specs of Joe's legendary Gibson Lazarus Les Paul. The result is an absolute premium high-end model and one of the best that Epiphone has to offer: this guitar is in no way inferior to a Gibson in terms of workmanship, sound and look and boasts the crème de la crème of hardware and features.

The construction of this Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Paula follows the tried and tested 1959 principle: the solid mahogany body carries a spectacularly flamed maple top and is glued to the neck, which is also made of mahogany. The bound rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium jumbo frets which, in conjunction with the '59-style Rounded Medium "C" neck profile, ensure comfortable playability.

In terms of sound, two original Gibson USA Burstbuckers are used in the neck and bridge position, which deliver an authentic, warm humbucker sound in the style of the legendary PAFs and are ideal for slightly distorted blues, but also cut a fine figure in other genres.

The Long Neck Tenon neck construction, which sits deep in the body, ensures incredible sustain and a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge enables clean intonation.

The custom look with the artificially aged Lazarus finish with fine nickel hardware and the golden pairs of knobs give the guitar its timeless and unmistakable look.

As a limited special model, Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Lazarus '59 Les Paul is rare.

This guitar is in excellent condition and technically flawless. Optically practically without any visible wear (see pictures). The tuners have been upgraded to high-quality Fame locking tuners - without extra drilling holes, so that the standard tulip button tuners can be easily fitted again. The frets are almost like new.
