First year RD Standard bass- one of 900 made between 1977-81.
The sound on this one is just so heavy and immense- really beautiful traditional sounds on the neck pickup with the tone rolled back and then absolute destruction through the bridge pickup when using fuzz. It's woody, clear, articulate and very versatile. With a 34.5" scale and about 620kg of maple, it's incredibly resonant and sustains forever. Sounds amazing acoustically.
Purchased from a seller in Arizona a couple of years ago, it's done the international trip and an interstate move in Australia without the action moving at all- it's as solid (and heavy) as a rock.
All original with no cracks or repairs.
Currently strung with La Bella Deep Talkin flats, it also comes with the tapes that I got it with. Comes in a modern hard case.
