Up for grabs is a used (has less than light average wear) DigiTech FS3X Footswitch (Black Casing with White & Black Graphic.

NO TRS stereo cable is part of this listing. But on hand - I have a few pre-owned TRS Stereo Cables (for you to choose from) available for sale upon request. Please message me for info, pictures, and prices.

In case you do not know:

  • You need a TRS stereo cable to use this pedal [which has the two black lines (rings) on the end of the each of the plug parts].
  • A regular instrument / guitar cable is TS MONO [t has one black line (ring) in the end of each of the plug parts] and will not function with this pedal.
  • But 1/4" TRS stereo adapter plug ends are made (not part of this listing) that are designed to connect to mono instrument cables.

-------

DigiTech FS3X footswitch:

  • This 3-button footswitch is compatible with nearly every Digitech product on the market.
  • It has three switches allowing you to do three things using a standard 1/4" stereo cable -- TRS stereo cable (NOT included). And it has one OUTPUT Jack (that where you plug in one end of the TRS cable).
  • It doesn't require any power source.

The THREE unlatched switches (going left to right) are:

  • MODE
  • DOWN
  • UP

Sorry - NO box and NO paperwork.

NOTE: This listing is for ONE DigiTech FS3X footswitch. But on hand I have one more used DigiTech footswitch (model # FS300) - but the color is different than the one in this listing. It is Silver Casing / with Blue Graphic. It is used and it can be sold with or without the cable.

These are the two links for them (in the first link - it's paired with a TRS cable and the second link -- it is ONLY the footswitch):

Back to the FS3X footswitch for sale in this listing....

The footswitch was tested and it works fine.

Going by REVERB's condition criteria - I put it's condition as VERY GOOD. But personally (like from an observation of it's physical / cosmetic condition) I feel that it is in between VG and Good shape.

Most sides of the casing are generally clean with a few or a couple of visible - but not too serious - imperfection. Anda few sides (such as the left and right sides) have a couple of more visible imperfection (mostly rust under the finsh causing very visible bumps in the finish).

Here are written details for each side / each part.

NOTE:

  • In person - the black color of the casing looks as it does in the first picture (as well as how it does in some of the other pictures) -which is a dark black color with a satin gloss finish.
  • And in some of the other pictures (that were taken in a lower light to better show some of the imperfections) the black color look duller and lighter.

TOP SIDE: Most areas are clean. Some tiny & very small chips / nicks in the finish on the back right area & back right corner were touched up with black marker. And a few other areas with tiny & very smal nicks / chips (mostly on the edges) in the finish were touched up with black maker. The white graphic ont he back right area has some very short surface scratches and a few tiny nicks.

SWITCHES: They work fine. The hardware is clean.

RIGHT SIDE:  Chips / nicks in the finish on the top and back edges were touched up with black marker. The upper back area has some unevenness / small bumps in / under the finish from rust formations and is has a short scrathc inthe finish.

LEFT SIDE: Chips / nicks in the finish on the top and back edges were touched up with black marker. The upper back area has some unevenness / small bumps in / under the finish from rust formations and is has a short scrathc inthe finish.

BACK SIDE:  Mostly very clean. A few extremely light short scratches on the main areas. The upper left area has a few tiny nicks.

JACK: it works fne. The NUT / WASHER for the JACK are clean.

FRONT SIDE: Mostly very clean. The left edge and the right edge had a few tiny / very small nicks & chips that were touched up with black marker. The far left area has a couple of tiny nicks.

BOTTOM SIDE: The areas near / around the bottom feet haves clear hard glue residue. The left and right areas had some chips & a few scratches in the finish that were touched up with black marker.

BOTTOM LABEL: It has several light scrathes, several tiny nicks, and several light gray surface markings.

FEET: It has all of the feet. The bottom side and lvery low outer areas have some wear: scuffs, small impressions, clear hard residue. Most of the other outer side areas fine.

  • NOTE: The feet are NOT the original feet. The previous owner GLUED on bigger and higher black rubber feet. In a way I like the type of feet that are currently on this footswitch This is because they raise the footswitch higher which protects the bottom side better than the small and lower feet that are normlly on this footswitch.
  • NOTE: since the feet are glue on with what looks to be a strong, clear, hard glue - if you plan to take off the feet - you may take off the finish and / or there may be glue residue left on.

General information (taken for a blog type of website):

Basically, the FS3X is three unlatched switches connected to a TRS plug with diodes in the path. Various gear scan use that for switching on/off effects, functions etc. including Digitech gear but not limited to that brand. You have to refer to the manual of each device equipped with external jack switches input. For example, the Lexicon MPX1 uses the same arrangement for it's external analog switching functions so you can plug the FS3X directly in it and it will work.

---

I took pictures of all sides of the footswitch. Feel free to ask for more pictures.

NOTE:   There may be some imperfections that I overlooked.   There may be some imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures.  Also  - there are some imperfections (glares, reflections, and lint / dust / specks) that show up in the pictures that are not that visible  in person.
