Introducing the all-new CVPA PlateMic (updated 10/21/24!): A compact analog stereo plate reverb w/low noise class-A JFET/BJT preamps and transformer balanced output available for pre-order now!

Experience the incredibly lush and dynamic sound of real analog plate reverb in ways not possible with traditional plates: the PlateMic features the unique purpose-built ability to sing/play directly to the plate for the most dream-like reverb sound you've ever heard!

The PlateMic can add extra stereo dimension/depth and dynamics to your mix that VST's and digital units fail to deliver; features a huge range of reverb decay time adjustment; from a mere 1 second of "small room" reverb up to a massively long 4.5 seconds (Brass plate only) that could easily be used as a creative analog substitute for digital delay!

The ability to push the unit hard into plate distortion is another thing that VST's and digital units can't touch; a talented singer can use the PlateMic as an extension of their own voice - working it like an instrument for incredibly expressive reverb!

The PlateMic could be the centerpiece of your studio and a big draw for customers; its impressively beautiful sound will make you excited to mix and experiment with new ways to maximize its incredible potential!

Pre-order now with a low introductory price!

Audio Demo:

Be sure to check out the YouTube audio demo at the end of the pictures list; ask for Google Drive links to high-quality 24-bit samples and stems of my mixes!

The PlateMic is incredibly versatile and can be used in a wide variety of ways:

-As a wet/dry direct reverb using the speaker pole mount with a "dry" microphone in front.

-As a full-wet direct reverb microphone using the speaker pole mount (great for dreamy background vocals).

-As a room microphone sitting on the floor (great for drums).

-As a traditional post-production reverb placed in front of your studio monitors as the drivers.

-As a traditional post-production reverb placed in an isolated vocal booth fed with small studio monitors.

-As a "quick and dirty" reverb using headphones placed on the unit acting as drivers (this sounds surprisingly good!).

CVPA PlateMic-S features, details, and specs:

-Re-designed to withstand the roughest shipping with zero damage to the plate; rest assured your plate will not be damaged easily!

-Low-noise super high impedance discrete class-A JFET/BJT preamps and transformer balanced output; typical "real-world" noise floor in a quiet environment is around -80dbfs peak/-100dbfs rms A-weight (as measured in my DAW @ 2s reverb time, 60hz HPF, output nominal) with my CVP-500 vintage germanium preamps!

-Powered via-phantom power for ultimate portability and ease of use.

-4-position stepped HPF on the front panel for low-freq. control (60/120/240/480hz)

-Expanded L/R gain trim on front panel using 20-turn precision trimpots - allows you to dial in the perfect output level and stereo balance for your preamps (i.e. low output for a clean sound or high output to drive your preamp's input transformers or tubes, etc).

-All-new rotary decay time adjustment allows for faster workflow and more precision dialing in short decay times. Solid aluminum knob and smooth silicone damped operation.

-Fast and easy damper lockdown for effortless moving/shipping; simply turn the damper/decay time knob to about midway (3s) and you are ready to go!

-2 x All-new rotary front panel sound ports allow you to adjust the volume of external sounds to the plate and acts as a low pass/high-cut filter. Solid aluminum knobs and smooth silicone damped operation.

-Front panel ground lift DIP switches for pesky ground hum situations.

-Incredibly tough all-aluminum extrusion-based construction with tough powder coat finish and precision engraved lettering.

-Small and lightweight enclosure can be easily moved and used where larger reverbs fear to tread!

Warranty/Guarantee:

I personally run extensive tech/audio tests (to included infrared imaging scans of all components after 24-hour runtime) of all units I build to ensure there are no manufacturing issues. Each unit is shipped with the utmost in care under the assumption that shipping could get rough. I've had very few issues with my products over they years and the few issues encountered have been remedied expediently at my own expense. Larger companies tolerate a certain percentage of defects in their products, have unhelpful/incompetent customer support, and will ship you another brand-new defective product if you have issues: with CVPA you will be able to deal directly with the sole-proprietor/manufacturer/engineer; I will immediately remediate/re-design any significant product flaws I encounter and consider all customer feedback seriously.

I offer a limited warranty for manufacturing defects in all my new products; if anything is faulty from shipping damage or there is a defect from assembly, I will ship replacements parts for free up to $100USD in shipping costs.

International or domestic customers that require shipping greater than $100USD for any defect or shipping damage repairs will need to pay the difference in advance; however the parts and labor for the repairs will be free. I ship will full insurance, so any shipping damage repairs should be payed for by your shipping insurance damage claim (it is very important to document all damage immediately upon arrival to make your claim).

Customers are solely responsible for damage they cause themselves or by a 3rd party (i.e. accidents like dropping the unit down stairs, etc.), theft/loss, and/or acts of nature/gov; flooding/fire/electric grid or mains issues/war/etc. - however I will do my best to keep the repair costs reasonable.

Audio Hardware and Software Manufacturers:

Contact CVPA about manufacturing licenses, VST Plugin Hardware Emulation licenses, or outright purchase of CVPA designs/intellectual property for your company to manufacture. I have several unique and highly popular product designs refined through nearly a decade of engineering and research that could take your business to the next level and shorten your product development timeline - contact me with preliminary offers!

Feedback policy: I leave feedback after receiving feedback from the buyer.

Thanks for looking!
