About This Listing

Here for sale we have an Epiphone Casino Coupe Hollow-Body electric guitar in Vintage Sunburst finish. Made in China in 2016, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard with Pearloid parallelogram inlays. This instrument is fitted with Nickel hardware including a Gotoh Tune-O-Matic style bridge, Trapeze tailpiece and Guyker locking tuning machines with Kluson style 'Tulip' keys. A pair of Epiphone Dogear P-90T Classic pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, neck volume, neck tone, bridge volume and bridge tone controls.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the SlimTaper 'D' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip on chords, whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate playing. The Rosewood fretboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the register. The neck binding and parallelogram inlays are nice touches which make the instrument feel premium and unique. The 12" radius works in conjunction with the medium jumbo frets to provide a rock solid and nicely flat playing surface across the register, well suited to a wide range of styles.

The pair of Epiphone Dogear P-90T Classic pickups installed in this guitar deliver an incredibly versatile range of tones that lend themselves well to a variety of styles whilst remaining unique. P-90 pickups are known to fall somewhere between a humbucker and single-coil, with more brightness than a humbucker whilst sounding thicker than a  typical single-coil. This is certainly true with the Epiphone Dogear P-90T Classic pickups, with plenty of grunt for your drive and distortion tones, whilst retaining the brightness required for crystalline clean tones.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. The tip shows light paint transfer to the rear edge, with a scuff mark to the bass side tip. A small chip is present to the treble side corner of the front face, lightly exposing the wood. This should not worsen with regular use. Light scratching to all surfaces is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable to the centre of the front face.

Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard shows very light signs of pitting through regular use. This is most notable to the 4th and 6th frets but remains difficult to discern from the natural grain. The rear of the neck shows light scratching under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light scratching to all surfaces is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable to the treble side of the waist on the front face in line with light playwear, and to the centre of the lower bout on the rear face, consistent with light buckle rash.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
