About This Listing

Vintage style Jazzmaster that looks and plays like a dream.

The Olympic White body, Mint Green pick guard, Aged White pickups and controls with vintage style hardware are usually only found on Custom Shop or vintage Jazzmasters. The pictures do not do it justice - it looks stunning.

This 2013 Fender FSR (Fender Special Run) Classic Player Jazzmaster has been modified and given a new body and pick guard to re-create those rare vintage looks and produce a unique guitar that plays even better than it looks: it has a beautifully low action all the way up the neck with no buzzes or dead spots and perfect intonation all the way up the neck. The neck has been sanded back to a satin finish and is very fast and comfortable to play. It plays so well that I can't put it down. It's now a true player's guitar. It's been given the classic Jazzmaster set up tweaks with a slight increase in the neck angle and a slightly raised bridge to get that amazing action all the way up the neck. This also increases the string angle over the bridge so it feels rock solid when you dig in with your right hand, something Jazzmasters sometimes struggle with. If you own a Jazzmaster and you've not tried setting it up like this, you're in for a real treat when you do!

Whilst it has Custom Shop looks, this guitar is essentially a 2013 Fender Special Run Classic Player Jazzmaster (Made in Mexico), as can be seen from the serial number. Those are great guitars. However, it's now got a different body and pick guard which give it those supermodel looks and a different set of pickups which sound incredible. If you want to see a video of it in action message me. All the electrics work well and the neck is dead straight with no fret wear. The Vintage Style "Floating" Tremolo Tailpiece works perfectly so the signature Jazzmaster vibrato is achieved with ease. The bridge is the Adjusto-Matic style which Fender introduced to overcome the problems traditional Jazzmaster bridges often have. It works well and feels rock solid.

Cosmetically, the guitar is in Very Good condition on the front but only Good condition on the back. It's been laid down on its back a lot and its has got scratched on the back, including a spot where there is paint missing. There are slight colour blemishes on the side and some marks where the neck meets the body. It's all shown in the photos. Fortunately the front is perfect and very clean and shiny.

It sounds incredible through that 1990s blackface Fender Twin ("Evil Twin") shown in some of the pictures, which is also for sale. Have a listen in the video link. The guitar is played straight into the amp with no pedals and you can hear how well it drives the amp.

I travel a lot to the US, UK and Australia. If you want it delivering to any of those countries message me.
