About This Listing

A killer all-mahogany 12-fret small-bodied guitar with Santa Cruz's premium 1929 appointments in excellent condition. Setup by Dusty Strings expert repair team, this OO plays easily up and down the v-shaped mahogany neck and is equally capable of a gritty, country blues growl and a polished, piano-like elegance. 1929 appointments include a vintage-inspired ebony pyramid bridge, mahogany binding, and a script headstock logo inlaid in ivoroid. The mahogany top is braced with scalloped spruce bracing. Playwear is limited to some worming in the finish near the endpin, a couple very small dimples on the top behind the bridge and the slightest bit of fretwear on the first few frets beneath the B string only. A previously installed pickup and output jack have been removed, with the jack being replaced by an oversized endpin.

About us:

At Dusty Strings, we thoroughly inspect each new and used instrument prior to offering it for sale and take whatever steps we believe are necessary to ensure it will perform its best for most players. Our standards are exceptionally high. For new instruments, that means we make minor adjustments as needed, for good playability, but that instruments with fundamental flaws are returned to their manufacturer without going for sale. For used instruments, we perform whatever cleaning, restringing, adjustments, or repairs that are needed for them to perform their best.

The result of our attention to detail is that when you first take your newly purchased instrument out of its case, it will be ready to play. Does this mean the instruments will satisfy your particular sensibilities or account for settling into its new environment? Perhaps not, but those issues fall in the realm of custom setup, something that our professional repair shop is happy to help with if you live within visiting distance. If you live outside our area, we’d recommend a visit to your favorite local luthier, who will be able to help.

Product Overview
The Santa Cruz 1929 Series are meant to evoke the spartan beauty of the guitars produced during the 1929 Great Depression, with scalloped bracing, period-correct script lettering and tuners, and simple rosette and pickguard designs.

The 1929 OO model is an all-Mahogany OO-bodied guitar with a 24.75" scale length, sitting in between the OOO and O models. As with all Santa Cruz builds, these are highly customizable guitars, with possible features like a Koa back and sides or various figured finishes adding to the value.

This represents the used range for a basic model - any custom features should be taken into consideration as raising the value.
