2022 Atkin J-43. This is one of my favorite guitars that I have ever owned. If it were not for the fact that I got a great deal on a really good 1954 J-45, I would never sell it. Listed as custom because this guitar was custom ordered with Indian rosewood bridge and fingerboard instead of the usual Santos. One of the only complaints I have really ever read on these guitars are the light colored Santos bridge and fingerboard. This guitar has nice dark, rich Indian rosewood instead Very light at 3 lbs 15 oz
1 11/16 nut width.
24.9” scale length.
I am second owner as I bought it used from CME a few months ago. It is in their aged nitro finish. It is in pretty much mint condition with the exception of a few small dents on the upper bout. Also has what looks like tiny specs in the finish around the fretboard. I don’t know if this is a result of the aged finish but it kind of looks like sugar grains near the fretboard as seen in pics. It is not flaking off or anything. Nice low action plays awesome. This guitar sounds outstanding as I’m sure anyone familiar with Atkin can attest. I ran this guitar on a ToneRite for many hours and it has opened up nicely. I have a set of bone pins for it for $30 extra if wanted, otherwise comes with Atkin factory bridge pins. Guitar in video is not same guitar but is same model. Comes with original hardshell case.
