Nice, resonant, custom-built David Daily guitar. Because of the wear-and-tear and previous modification for an amplification system on this guitar, I’m asking significantly less than usual market value ($5,000-6,000).
An amplification system was installed into the guitar several years ago but taken out recently. It’s ready to have whatever desired system installed, or to be played acoustically.
The guitar is structurally sound. There is significant wear on the soundboard. The polish on the back has largely been worn off. The lower-bout top edge of the soundboard was damaged at one point, then repaired well. The Sloan tuners are functioning perfectly but the plastic tuning machine rollers are cracked and eventually should be replaced (I’ve been told that this is cosmetic and there is no rush to replace these.) The frets are original; they have been dressed down twice, so a refret at some point would help with lowering the action. There are no fret buzz problems right now.
Action:
1st string - a little under 3.5
6th string - a little under 4mm
The saddle has enough height to adjust down, if desired, for the 6th string action but is about as low as it could go on the 1st string side.
