For sale is a very cool 1950’s Egmond classical guitar from Holland.
This guitar has been very well loved in its decades of service, and still plays beautifully. The sound is surprisingly beautiful, earthy and warm. The guitar records very well, with no extraneous rattles or buzzes and a very distinct, unique sound.
Neck is straight, action is low. Tuners are in great shape, they have been replaced on one side so they are mismatched. Finish is pretty rough, but the guitar is structurally sound. Neck is straight, no warping or bowing. Action is nice and low. Frets are in good shape. There is about a 1mm bridge lift, but the bridge doesn't move and the action is perfect. There are a few remnants of marker writing on the back that I removed with acetone, but stopped short when the finish began coming off.
This guitar is a great sounding, great playing relic of post-war Eastern Europe, and will complement any collection nicely.
Ships in a chipboard case or gig bag.
Thanks for looking!
