About This Listing

This Kay Bass Guitar was made in the USA around 1960. This was Kay's top of the line bass. This bass shows significant play wear including dings all over but is completely solid. The bass has had a pro neck reset so the neck angle is great. At some point there was a repair by the jack and there is now a plate over the jack. Sounds incredible and is fun to play. Very diverse/adaptable to various types of playing. It has just the right amount of warmth and body but still cuts. Comes with a custom made flight case from Circle Three Designs or a lighter case if you prefer which I can lower the price a bit.
Bought this bass from Chicago Music Exchange (see video below) but it was previously owned by Christian Wargo the bass player of Fleet Foxes.
