Fender Classic Player '60s Stratocaster 3-Color Sunburst 2006 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Fender Classic Player '60s Stratocaster in 3-Color Sunburst finish. Made in Mexico in 2006, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The rear of the headstock carries a 'Fender 60th Anniversary' badge, commemorating 60 years since the company was originally founded. This is common to all 2006 Fenders. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo with Vintage-Style Stamped Steel saddles and Vintage-Style locking tuning machines. A trio of Fender Custom Shop '69 Strat single-coil pickups are installed and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone and middle/bridge tone controls. 

The Maple neck plays very well, with the 'C' shape profile feeling moderately-sized in the hand for a well-balanced playing experience. Substantial enough for a firm grip when chord playing, yet slim enough to facilitate fast articulate lead lines and solos. The Rosewood fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with a rather unusual-for-Fender 12" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. The Medium Jumbo frets assist with  string bending and vibrato techniques, whilst also adding a sense of rock-solid dependability to the playing experience. 

The trio of Fender Custom Shop '69 Strat single-coil pickups installed in this guitar make use of Enamel-Coated magnet wire, staggered pole-pieces and Alnico V magnets to deliver a full and punchy range of tones with plenty of clarity and transparency. The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power to push your lead and solo tones to the front of the mix. The middle pickup is nicely bright and punchy, perfectly capturing those funky rhythm sounds that the Strat is famed for. The bridge pickup is brighter still, and with a higher output is well-suited to searing rock riffing with plenty of drive. A lovely workhorse Strat that will bring hours of playing enjoyment to its new owner.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentation not piercing the finish is present along the bass side edge, most notably beside the 6th E tuner on the front face. The tip shows a similar light indentation. All aspects of the headstock show light scratching under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. 

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light indentations which lightly pierce the finish are present to the bass side rear of the neck behind the 1st and 5th frets. These can be lightly felt in the playing position. The treble side of the fingerboard shows light indentation at the 2nd fret and beyond the 21st fret, near the neck pickup. 

Body: Overall very good condition. The bass side of the neck pocket demonstrates a mild finish crack, as is common with bolt-on necks. This does not flex under pressure and presents no structural concern. A light indentation which pierces the finish is present to the treble side lower bout of the front face, close to the lower strap button. The sides of the lower bout show mild to moderate indentation and chipping, roughly in line with the bridge on both sides. This is most notable to the bass side rear edge. The rear face shows a single continuous mild scratch from the centre of the backplate to the bass side edge of the lower bout. 

Condition of Frets:

The frets show light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fretwork the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The D string tuner bushing does not match the rest but remains fully functional. Tremolo arm not included. 

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 1.5mm
