Product Overview
The Flying V returned to production for the first time since 1959 with a significantly different design. Gibson opted for the more typical mahogany body and neck over the original korina, and dropped many of the distinctive art-deco aesthetics such as the flying string plate, and gold hardware. These late '60s models are still fleetingly rare, and it wasn't until 1975 the the Flying V would see consistent and widespread production.
