The Minstrel pedal, specifically in its latest V3 iteration, stands as a beacon of tube overdrive excellence, enhancing the legacy of its V2 predecessor which has since ceased production. This single-channel marvel boasts a 12ax7 tube amplified by high voltage for authentic, dynamic tube overdrive, further intensified by a JFET transistor. Distinct from the Kingsley Jester with a smaller enclosure and lacking a separate boost circuit, the V3 Minstrel enriches its arsenal with a footswitchable "More" function for added gain and a "Sizzle" switch to brighten and open up the tone.

True to Kingsley's reputation for meticulous hand wiring and superior construction, the Minstrel offers an extensive palette of tones, ranging from the subtly smooth to the dynamically punchy, all the way to aggressive rock. Operated on 9VDC, internally escalated to 240VDC, it achieves a tube sound on par with top-tier tube amplifiers.

• The introduction of a second footswitch, "More," for toggling into a high-gain mode, with a dedicated pot to adjust this added gain, offering flexibility across its tone modes.
