Here’s an interesting one. When I bought it the owner was convinced it was from the 60s. However, I believe a 1980 460 husk with a 70s t top patent No pickup in the neck, a sonex 180 pickup in the bridge. Two 1983 CTS pots. And 70s Gibson speed knobs. The selector switch may be original. Electronics are functional.
The pickguard is not original.
The bridge says made in Germany on the bottom. Most likely a Schaller. A wooden shim was glued under the bridge to raise it to the proper height.
Obviously the body was routed to accommodate the new electronics.
Double Truss rod turns and is functional.
As far as playability goes, the action is very low and is hardly fretting out. I personally would like the action higher, but the current bridge height adjustment set screws seem to be stripped out. A new schaller roller bridge that is a drop in replacement costs 86$ here on reverb.
It comes with a vintage case That’s possibly original. Ships fully insured and packed with care.
