Bowerman Maya Custom 8-String - Honeyburst w/Hard Case

For your consideration, we present a 8-string wonder from master luthier, Jayson Bowerman.

​This Maya was born in 2016 at the edge of the Cascade mountain range in Oregon.  Bowerman's extensive experience with Breedlove guitars shines forth here, meeting and exceeding the high-quality craftsmanship for which Breedlove is known  The Maya is billed as "a curvaceous, versatile guitar with rich bass, punchy mids, and a ringing treble...powerful and complex while maintaining note clarity, separation, and sustain."  A smaller version of what is known to be a "Jumbo," this custom build adds octave strings on the D and G strings and bears the wood of the gods.

The body of this Maya is comprised of the highest-quality tonewoods, with a solid Carpathian Spruce top and highly-flamed Hawaiian Koa back & sides.  Bowerman highlights the soft burst of the top with a striking Koa rosette, and the entire body is bound in rosewood with flamed maple purfling.  The one-piece Mahogany neck is complete with volute and is topped with a Rosewood-bound ebony fingerboard with abalone & brass halo-dot inlays and sidemarkers.  The headstock face is capped with Ebony, also bound in rosewood with flamed maple purfling, and bears 4-on-a-plate open-gear tuning machines.  for sparkly live sound, this Maya is fitted with LR Baggs electronics with a soundhole-mounted volume control and endpin jack.  

This guitar is in Excellent condition, showing signs of light wear and careful storage.  There is light pickwear on the top in the playing area.  There is a small dent in the top below the bridge.  There are minor scuffs on the treble side edge and a small chip in the finish on the binding on the lower treble side bout.  This package includes the original hard case.
