Fender Custom Shop Select ‘59 Stratocaster NOS Black 2022 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Fender Custom Shop Select '59 Stratocaster NOS in Black Flash Coat finish. This custom ordered and hand built guitar is a product of Fender's finest and most experienced luthiers and represents the absolute best that Fender has to offer, with a build quality and specification that cannot be found anywhere else. 

This guitar was made in the USA in 2022, and features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder Body, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with Nickel Fender Vintage Locking tuning machines, along with a Chrome Vintage Synchronized tremolo bridge. A trio of hand wound Custom Shop '60s Stratocaster single-coils are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume neck tone and bridge tone controls. 

The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with the '59 'D' profile sitting comfortably in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck is very pleasant to the touch and ensures that navigation of the 25.5" scale is a fast and effortless affair. The 7.25"-9.5" compound fingerboard radius offers comfort for chord playing in the lower register whilst providing practicality for lead lines and string bending as you climb to the higher frets. The narrow tall frets offer a rock solid playing surface whilst enhancing vibrato and string bending techniques. 

The trio of hand wound Custom Shop '60s Stratocaster single-coil pickups deliver the legendary tone that has kept Fender on the musical map for 7 decades. Warmth and clarity is present in the neck position, with a round, bell-like chime that is perfect for lead lines and solos. The middle pickup is bright with a smooth midrange that is well suited to funk genres. The bridge position provides the bite and twang required to put your playing right at the front of the mix whilst remaining highly sensitive to the way you play the string. The in-between positions deliver the famous Strat 'honk', with plenty of articulation without being too sharp. This is a truly fantastic instrument that will bring its new owner countless hours of playing enjoyment.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition, showing only minor tool markings around the truss rod cavity.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Presents light lateral markings to the fingerboard and a small finish dent visible to the 11th fret behind the G string.

Body: Overall very good condition. Presents very light scratch markings visible under bright lighting and not breaking the finish, most notably to the rear bass side edge of the lower bout. There is a moderate finish chip to the treble side of the neck pocket, with a light finish crack to the bass side of the neck pocket, not affecting structure

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for any future work the new owner may wish to perform.
