Bourgeois Banjo Killer #5943, made in 2012 and in very good condition, other than some light surface scratches and a chunk of laquer missing from the top of the guitar and the headstock corner (both pictured). Features include a bearclaw figured Sitka Spruce top, figured Mahogany back and sides, a 1 23/32" nut width and a 25 1/2" scale length. Complete with case.
The name Banjo Killer was coined by Bryan Sutton for his six-stringed onstage sidekick, back in the day when he burst onto the bluegrass scene in the late 1990s. Featuring a double scalloped X brace design, stiffer back bracing and a 25.5” scale, the Banjo Killer’s bark is as terrifying as its bite. Bearclaw Sitka Spruce, figured Mahogany and double scalloped X bracing round out an otherwise understated aesthetic presentation.
