Moonstone Guitars wurde von Steve Helgeson gegründet. Er produziert seit den 1970er Jahren einige der weltweit besten handgefertigten Akustik-, Elektro- und Bassgitarren. Der Moonstone Eclipse Bass gehört ohne Zweifel dazu. Ein wunderbares Instrument welches in Sachen Verarbeitung, Sound, Bespielbarkeit und der verwendeten Hölzer, sowie der Hardware seinesgleichen sucht.

Natürlich gibt es bei einem Bass von 1981 ein paar Gebrauchsspuren, die aber erst bei genauer Betrachtung auffallen. Der Eclipse lässt sich von passiver auf aktive Elektronik umschalten. Die Tonabnehmer wurden gegen Häussel JB mm4 Big Pole getauscht, was dem Bass einen noch fetteren und glasklaren Druck verleiht. Der Eclipse Bass wurde nur 124 mal gebaut.

Moonstone Guitars was founded by Steve Helgeson. He has been producing some of the world's finest handcrafted acoustic, electric and bass guitars since the 1970s. The Moonstone Eclipse Bass is without doubt one of them.A wonderful instrument. The finish, the playability, the woods used and the hardware are first class.

Of course, there are a few signs of use on a bass from 1981, but these only become apparent on closer inspection. The Eclipse can be switched from passive to active electronics. The pickups have been replaced with Häussel JB mm4 Big Pole which gives the bass an even fatter and crystal clear sound.

Only 124 of the Eclipse Bass were built
