The Rickenbacker 4000 is one of the most interesting basses ever. Very rare these days are many clean originals. This is a wonderful Mapleglo finished example w/a maple neck-thru design w/nice maple body halves…dot inlays, unbound neck & body, 1 Horseshoe pickup w/mono electronics, large headstock w/walnut wings & the rarest item, its clear lucite thumb rest. Its white’gard is clean as are its tuners. Its serial # plate is wearing its “GF” code that dates to June 1967 & its pots codes date to the 46th week of 1966. Overall she’s an exceptionally clean 100% original 4000 w/stunning looks & great playability & comes in a nice original Silver Tolex/Blue Lined hard case.
