Germino Classic 45 (JTM-45)

If you’re looking for the most authentic vintage JTM-45 amplifier currently on the market, look no further. The Germino Classic 45 nails those early Marshall tones as heard on albums by Free, Beano-era Clapton, early AC/DC, Humble Pie, ZZ Top and many others. Amazing cleans to the best crunchy over-driven sounds.  Controlled low-end response, broad range EQ, touch sensitivity and exceptional 3D balance. 

But what takes this particular amplifier over the top is its vintage GEC / GENALEX KT-66 output tubes produced in London by the MO Valve company: the Holy Grail of Tone. These are NOT modern reproductions but instead a matched set purchased through a high-end audio company. These tubes provide an authentic JTM-45 experience because they powered the original amps. It's that simple.

And to get the elusive feel and touch-responsiveness of a vintage JTM? By using an authentic VINTAGE MULLARD GZ-34 rectifier tube of course. This amp has it! (By the way, if you were to purchase these vintage tubes separately, it would cost approx. $600 - $800.)

This amplifier was built by hand by Greg Germino in 2015 using Heyboer iron. The OT is a Radio Spares replica using M6 steel with 6.6K primary taps. The Power Transformer is Greg’s medium voltage spec of 440vdc. Choke is a Drake 352-114 replica.

The amp’s chassis is crafted with spot-welded aluminum and features premium tube sockets, CTS pots, heavy-duty switches and a perforated turret board — a completely authentic build. The amp is protected with a Studio Slips padded cover, the best available.

I am the second owner of this amp. It is in very clean, excellent condition and has not been used outside of my home. Amp will ship fully insured via UPS. Note: Due to their high value, the two Genalex output tubes will be packed in their original boxes and secured inside the head cabinet. (Yes, original MO Valve Company boxes!)
