This fine, high quality vintage instrument,  hales from the legendary "70's lawsuit" years of 'MIJ' guitar production.

During this time highly, skilled Japanese craftsman were producing copies of Gibson’s, Martins, Fenders, etc that looked almost identical to the originals and often sounded as good or better!

Made in Japan, in the early 70's ‘CF Mountain’ made some of the first lawsuit 'CF Martin' clones and are now sort after for their very high build quality. The overall sound quality is warm, full with enough sparkle in the high that gives it a very sweet, mature rich voice.

The 'CF' element of the logo was dropped very early on in production, due to a 'Martin' cease and desist letter, which now makes these early guitars highly desirable to the Collector and Investor.

This example is of a high end Martin D18 clone, with Sitka Spruce table top and mahogany sides and back

The guitar has some very light play wear on the table but has no cracks or repairs, no damage of buckle rash to the back.

It has a very comfortable soft 'V' profile neck (also copied from early 70's Martin's) and an easy playing action. The guitar is paired with a hard shell case.

The D18 was the favourite acoustic guitar for Curt Cobain, which he played throughout Nirvana's legendary set on MTVs unplugged.  

Currently strung with medium strings (011-.049) this guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference, with a comfortable action for rhythm chording and articulated lead lines.
