About This Listing

I have something really unique here for you today. This is a 2005 Paul Reed Smith Standard 22 Corvette model.

This PRS is in very good condition.

The body top looks great. There will be just a little bit of normal oxidation on the bridge saddles. Any superficial playwear such as pick strumming or swirling will be very minimal here. I do not see any formed patterns of any of that. Nor are there any notable marks I do not see any dings or penetrating finish scratches in this area.

The body sides/edges show one small mark near the input jack about 2 to 3 millimeters in size sort of a line shaped little ding not a round bump. Beyond that lone mark I do not see any collection of playwear. It looks very clean. I do not see any clouding around the neck joint.

The body back shows two small indentations. These are small soft line shape bumps about 2 to 3 millimeters in size, pretty tiny. There are no major marks. And no buckle rash or worming. There is a light scattered superficial swirling but no accumulated sheen or formed patterns of it. Just light traces of it scattered here and there.

The neck looks very good throughout. I found no marks or play where on the neck shaft contour. I found one tiny little mark on the edge wall of the headstock about a millimeter in size but no notable marks there. Or any buildup of any sort of playwear. The frets show no measurable fret wear. And have no sharp fret edges. The setup is simply fantastic it feels like the original factory setup and plays like butter. The truss rod turns freely and has barely been used. PRS guitars in my experience have some of the best quality control for neck and fret work and playability.

The electronics are working like they should and they are stock. I don't know the exact model but they are the original pickups. The case is in very good condition with average external signs of use.

This one rates an 8.8/10 conservatively and grades on the higher side of very good. I found as noted just a few small marks on an overall very clean looking guitar. It looks and plays great. And has no major marks nor any accumulation of any pattern playwear.

This one was briefly made in limited quantities and is essentially a pre wood library small batch custom guitar built for GM to commemorate and promote their Corvettes.

That can be cool or gaudy depending on one's view, and clearly was a concept hatched in the big money years leading up to the 2008 economy collapse. Back when it made perfect sense to buy a PRS guitar with your Corvette whether you knew how to play guitar or not. Those were good times :). What can't be argued about this one, is that it is absolutely a top notch PRS of the highest quality, this one is a beautiful playing and sounding specimen.

As for the guitar itself from a players perspective. I will give you my impressions. First off the trem model PRS's have a slightly stronger, harder tone than the stoptail models. This one has nice attack, and that extra bit of snap and ping to the tone from that brass tremolo tone block. The difference between a Standard and Custom 22. Is the Standard is premium mahogany with no maple top. Being all mahogany the warmth is even more present. So that sums this one up. It's a nice clean, toneful PRS specimen. That has some niche history and collectability to it.

Note that this listing may come down at anytime as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that in to your purchase.

I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.

Thank you for reading and considering!
