Grosh Retro Classic 2008 - Sherwood Green

Here is a beautiful 2008 Grosh Retro Classic Guitar in Sherwood Green Metalic finish with 1 piece Extra Large Roundback 5A Flamed Maple Neck with jumbo frets.  It has a lightweight Ash body, Lollar “Blackface” pickups, 5 Way with Volume, Tone and Blend.  The guitar is overall very good condition, and plays and sounds incredible.

 When I got it, it had lots of finish chips all along the edge of the fretboard, and in a couple spots on the back of the neck, and it needed a fret level and polish (badly).  It so happens that these are things I am very good at – so I fixed the lacquer chips and resprayed the neck from the nut down except for the heel of the neck, and leveled and polished the frets.  The finish job came out very good with only a few flaws and slight additional tint, and the fret work came out very good to excellent.  You can’t feel any of the imperfections on the neck and it’s a nice satin finish.

This is a great guitar, and Grosh guitars are absolutely undervalued on the used market.  I have set it all up, adjusted the neck a little, intonation tweaked, set the pickup heights to liking – and it is killer.  The neck is really comfortable for being “Extra Large”, maybe because it is 1 5/8 nut width.  It fits nicely in the palm of my hand and I’m not a big guy.

The guitar come with it’s beautiful G&G hardcase that fits like a glove, the short trem arm, and what you see.  I have a video demo of the guitar I will be glad to share.
