This awesome AU-999 has had all its old electrolytic capacitors replaced plus all the well documented modifications on Audiokarma to take to another level. It has a new power cord, rubber feet, lamps and I fabricated copper jumpers for the pre-out/main-in because they were missing.

The vast majority of transistors were upgraded to low noise, highly reliable modern equivalents including new matched Onsemi MJ21194G outputs. The larger mylar capacitors throughout were upgraded to Panasonic polypropylene films. New multiturn trimmer resistors allowed for more accurate setting of adjustments.

Audiokarma Modifications:

Subsonic filter bypass - the filter is always on so this corrects the low bass roll off these are known for

Kevzep Preamp mod - adds more headroom so the preamp doesn't clip before the amplifier

Stereofun driver board mod - matching up transistors and resistors in the differential pairs

Kevzep bass/eq mod - corrects the limited range of the bass control so it has the effect one expects when turning it.

SCR protection circuit bypass - eliminates a future trouble prone circuit and speakers are still protected by fuses. Easily reversible if somebody wants to reconnect it.
