RTR 280-DR mid 70's - Walnut veneer

I am the original owner of these RTR 280 DR speakers. I've had them over 45 years and they still sound good!
I have moved from a large home to a smaller home and am now downsizing one more time. I am not taking these with me. The 280DR is my favorite model. The balance, power handling capability, accuracy, and musicality are amazing. These are a 4 way 10 driver acoustic suspension system with four 10" Woofers, five 2.5" Mid-Tweeters, and a Piezo Super Horn Tweeter. The woofers are outstanding Alnico drivers with vented dust caps and butyl rubber surrounds that never need re-foamed. There is one in the front baffle, one in the left side panel, one in the right side panel, and one downward firing woofer which is sandwiched in the bottom of the cabinet. All the mid-tweeters are also Alnico drivers. There are two attenuators on the rear input panel for custom high and midrange adjustment. They also have self resetting thermal protection circuitry to prevent blown drivers. The walnut cabinets are in nice cosmetic condition with original tri-fold grills also in very nice condition. This pair of speakers is so big and heavy, so I do not see how I can ship them. These speakers have been well cared for. I haven't played them in three years, but they have been tested and still sound fabulous. They are an 8 OHM speaker. The dimensions are 39" X 16.5" X 16.5" and weigh 90 LBS per speaker. I'm selling these as a pair.
