About This Listing

(USED) A forerunner of the "True Vintage" series, in 2005 Gibson did a worldwide limited production run of 670 of these Custom Historic models.  We all know the J-45, it's one of the most recognizable designs out there, and this is one of the early examples of Gibson recreating some of their historic specs on newer guitars.  This one definitely delivers on the sweet thump that we expect from the model.

AA-grade Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides.  Short 24 3/4" scale with 1 11/16" nut width, 2 1/8" string spacing at the saddle.  Rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges, rosewood reverse-belly bridge, pins upgraded to Tusque.  Mahogany neck with medium C profile.

Condition is very good with the first 10 frets replaced and replaced tuners (Grover Deluxe).  The fingerboard has some indentations in the first position.  There are some shallow finish impressions around the top and a noticeable ding on the treble side of the lower bout.  A few small finish dings on the back.  Light finish wear on the neck in the first position.  A Martin Gold Plus piezo pickup has been installed.  Includes original hard case.

Head and shoulders above what might be hanging in your local GC!
