Up for sale is a near mint condition 2017 EBMM Valentine-- a real case queen with original bar code stickers still attached. I purchased a couple years ago from a Schecter rep who had earlier acquired it from a Music Man rep. He was given not only the guitar but the opportunity to handpick this beauty from a lot-- and chose this one for it's stunning Birdseye neck.

Indeed he chose well! It is lightweight, 6.5lbs on my digital scale, an acoustically lively, and loud plank of swamp ash that resonates with gusto and sustaining rich overtones. Super fast, gun stock oil rubbed thinner neck that plays like butter--a tribute to the setup and perfectly dressed stainless steel frets. I thought this might become my number one---its one of the most wonderful and well thought out, flexible, and perfectly executed instruments I have played that lives brilliantly in that in that liminal space between a Tele and a 335.

I found the neck to be a little thin for my hand though...and as you know...how well one gets along with a neck is paramount for a guitar player. So I'm letting this one go and find it's new forever home (sorry if it sounds like an ad for a pet but one can become attached to their instruments lol as all of us here know!)

So, why is it near mint and not mint? There is a small black smudge on the neck next to the nut. This looks like a factory imperfection. The two push switch knobs crackle when they are switched and adjusted...I believe this is through lack of use rather than use This could possibly be solved by with a spray contact cleaner-have not tried that fix though. BTW The push knob boost feature is wonderful for solos adding compression and sustain to individual notes. The pickups are phenomenal and note clarity within chords even with some grit added is better than all 10 guitars I own. Let me know if you have any questions. This Valentine comes with the original, molded signature case which is in great shape save a few marks it acquired doing it's job of protecting queen that lives in the case castle.. As far as I can see, this is the nicest one of these for sale with a beautiful birdseye neck that makes this one a real stunner. If you are in the market for an EBMM Valentine, here's your chance to pick up one of the finer examples of this guitar around. Note that guitar is also for sale in other forums as well as locally and may be sold at any time.
