About This Listing

This is a very nice all-solid-mahogany 2011 Guild GAD D125-12 12-string. Strictly acoustic. It has had a recent setup and new strings, and it plays nice and easy. It is in very good shape, very glossy with its poly finish. I'd say it is in excellent condition except for one drawback that I didn't even notice when I first got it -- it has a crack on the back upper left, which you can (barely) see in the photo of the back. I asked my luthier about cleating it, and he said he wouldn't bother -- it's not going anywhere and certainly doesn't affect the tone or playability. Speaking of tone, these Guild GADs are really the best of the Guild imports. It sounds huge and rich and well balanced. Comes with original Guild hardshell case.

I've included a video of a guy playing a D125-12. I don't know if it's a GAD, and the fidelity leaves a bit to be desired -- sounds like he could be overdriving the mic -- but it hopefully gives you some idea that the sound of this guitar is big and rich and can be played loud!

[Edit: Reverb automatically put in "Product Specs" a couple of which are incorrect. It's obviously a 12-string, not a 6-string. And the finish is gloss, not satin. Let me know if you have any questions!]

Product Overview
The D-125-12 is the 12-string version of the Guild D-125. Both models were updates to the earlier GAD series which includes Asian-built version of classic Guild designs. Like the classic D-25 of the '70s, the D-125 and D-125-12 use an all Mahogany body.
