Melody Custom Guitar Esquire Telecaster Body, Loaded, Very Rare, 1998.

Before there was Nash and Danocaster and the like, there was Nate Snell, who owned and operated Melody Custom Guitars. My understanding is he is no longer in the game, but if you go online and search you will see he is considered a legend.

I purchased two MCC guitars. This one in '98, and a Blackguard in 2002. I used them both for years. I am selling this body very reluctantly, but taxes are coming and I have 3 vintage Teles. The neck was sold to my bandmate.

Body is alder, handcrafted by Nate to exact vintage specs. Older alder, but not sure of the age. Incredibly resonant.

I don't have a working scale at the moment, but I would guess a shade over 4 lbs Loaded. Certainly not a back breaker.​

Vintage nitro finish hand applied by Smell. He did everything by hand, which is why his guitars are so highly regarded. Realistic aging, not some hack job.

Vintage aged authentic relic 3-saddle bridge with aged, compensated Seymour Duncan saddles. Intonation is great.

Aged control plate and knobs.

Aged white 3-ply Esquire pickguard, but also comes with one ply white Esquire guard.

Early (first few years) Duncan Broadcaster that looks ancient, but sounds amazing. In the mid 8k for output if i recall. I tried many in this over the years, but this was the champ. Incredible array of tones, great from rock to country and can rip your face off when goosed!

KD Paulus "Eldred Mod" assembly. Highest quality assembly.

Newer Dunlop Straplocks installed. I will include the matching parts for your strap.

This is a killer Esquire as is, and I would highly recommend you give it a whirl as is, but very easy to convert to a Tele. All you need for this is a neck. Btw, in the photo with the neck, that is an All-Parts TMO neck. Fender spec necks fit like OJ's glove...real tight.

Purchased entire guitar from MCG in February of 1998. The cost was, if I recall, $1300, give or take. This is a great deal. MJT and the like are great, but these, which are as rare as he's teeth, are on another level.
