A rare-bird at that. This is a one of-a-kind Ronin Mod-Shop Alamo Ryder short scale guitar. The instrument itself was built in San Antonio, Texas sometime in the early to mid 1960's. Izzy Lugo of Ronin gave this guitar the full Mod-Shop treatment. It is equipped with three Ronin Foil-Buckers "Fire Wind" set, which is a tad hotter than a standard Foil-Bucker pickup set, giving this short scale guitar a ferocious sound with plenty of unique sonic characteristic; usually only found on Ronin's now discontinued high-end guitar models. You also get three push buttons to individually split the coils on each pickup. We can truly say that this instrument has seen incredible attention to detail in the mods it received and can hold its own in nearly any situation.
The scale length is 22", making this guitar somewhat reminiscent of the vintage Fender Duo-Sonics and Music-Masters of the day, which used the same scale. The Fingerboard has undergone heat-treatment and a refret by Ronin Guitars, to make this Axe one hell of a player. All the electronics were also changed out for high-quality components. It is a a fun little instrument to have around as a writing tool, picking on the couch, stage or studio. Plug it in and a whole new world of possibilities opens up. With the 22" long scale, far reaching or hard to play chords and quick melody lines are a breeze. The guitars plays with ease with a low action of 3 1/2 to 4 64th's E to E at the 12th fret. Don't let this one get away!
