About This Listing

Armin Gropp has been active as an instrument builder for more than 70 years, and currently works together with his son Mario. Gropp guitars are characterized by a combination of innovation and traditional specifications, and excel in the areas of response, sustain, balance and projection.

This classical guitar from Gropp stands out because of its beautifully decorated oval sound hole, fine-grained spruce top and - last but not least - the beautiful flamed maple back and sides. The guitar has an understated appearance due to its matte finish and single rosewood binding, thus drawing full attention to the sound. The guitar can be played very smoothly due to its classic neck profile.

This Armin Gropp from 1978 is in very good condition. The guitar has playwear that is expected for a 45 year old instrument, and also has a repaired crack in the top, running from the bass side of the bridge to the binding. The guitar comes with TFOA passport in a hardshell case.
