For sale here is a recreation of a Sonic Blue early 60s Fender Jazzmaster with all of the right specs.

Very early MJT Jazzmaster body with a heavy relic look and wear that comes "mostly" all natural from years of playing. Originally Sonic Blue nitro Lacquer, exposure to playing in the sun has given the finish a somewhat surf green appearance, which is very obvious if you remove the pickguard. Lots of fine and not so fine checking, lots of wear, but definitely has the look. Shielded body cavities and Fender aluminum pickguard shield under the pickguard. Features a USA Mastery bridge and Seymour Duncan "Vintage Jazzmaster" USA pickups, which are dead on sounding recreations to original '62 pickups. Wired up in the traditional Jazzmaster style with 1 meg CTS pots, vintage cloth wire, Sprague orange capacitors and switchcraft parts. Wiring is all expertly performed and routed cleanly.

Vibrato is a hybrid made of USA and MIJ pieces, with a Staytrem style vibrato collet from a Johnny Marr Jaguar, which keeps the arm from freely spinning and having any slop or play in it (plus the inner silicone grommets are replacable if need be). Looks relic and vintage, plays beautifully smooth.

The neck is an older USA made Allparts, finished in nitro lacquer that has eventually been worn into the wood naturally, giving it a very legit vintage feel that "sanding the back of the neck" just lacks. Back of the neck is buttery smooth with no dents or dings. Finish was professionally and perfectly applied. Rosewood fretboard. Fender logo is genuine but had the finish applied over the top of it, as does the "Custom Shop" logo on the back of the headstock (which I personally wouldn't have added, but I didn't build it). Kluson Deluxe vintage style tuners work perfectly and also match the aged look on the rest of the hardware. I believe the nut is made of buffalo horn or something kinda oddball, but it is perfectly cut, and smoothed out, works perfectly and needs zero reworking.

Whatever lacquer the neck was finished in obviously had some sort of UV protectant in the mix, because the matching sonic blue headstock has not taken on the surf green appearance over time nearly as much as the body. It's funky looking but I like it.

Neck has probably been refretted a time or two but the specs have remained the same (vintage fretwire, 7.25 radius). Fret work is flawless and has zero wear.

The guitar has been professionally set up with D'Addario XS 11s and a .5 degree Stew Mac shim was added into the neckpocket. The guitar plays and sounds wonderful and has zero issues.

The weight, with the vibrato arm installed, is exactly 7.7lbs on a very accurate postal scale.

Originally built to sound like a vintage Jazzmaster. And after years of playing, now it looks and feels like one too.

Includes black Fender case.

$1499 plus $74 shipping/insured.  US48 shipping only. Sold as is, as described. US48 ONLY.

Please note: I only ship guitars out Monday thru Friday. Please allow me an extra day to professionally pack and box it so your new-to-you instrument arrives exactly as it left me.
