About This Listing

Vintage 1983 Gibson Explorer CMT - Awesome flamed maple one piece top in cherry sunburst. Beautiful dark Ebony fingerboard w/ gold hardware. Mahogany body. All original except I added the Amber top hat Les Paul style volume and tone knobs. I think I still have the 3 black speed knobs around somewhere. I added two older photos with the black knobs that show off the flame which looks alot better with the naked eye. Overall very good condition. Minimal if any fret ware. Gold hardware is superb for a 40 year old guitar! Very faint back rash is more like a light scuffing that would buff out. Some minor scuffs and very light scratching overall. Binding has yellowed. The guitar has that nice mellowed vintage look! Only issue is a deep scratch to the corner of the front edge near the toggle switch. This is a common problem with the Explorer or Flying V body styles, It's easy to knock them on furniture etc... Other than that there is no damage, cracks, or breaks etc.. Guitar has been stored in the case for many years. It comes with the original case that I modified with road case hardware to replace the broken latches.

Please send me your Postal code for the exact shipping cost.
