For sale is a very cool late 1940's hollow body electric guitar from Kay. This has received a lot of cool repairs/upgrades to make it the playable, gig-able, usable guitar that it is today. To start, it got a new tortoise material control plate, a re-wound pickup, new tuners, and a setup. Now this thing is restored and ready to make some epic music. The thick, 3 pc. neck is comfortable to play and there's tons of fret life left to go and it's got low action.
It is free of cracks but there is some finish wear that you can see in the photos. The finish is wearing from the back of the neck from many years of playing, as well as the body/top. There are some dings/dents here and there across the front and back of the guitar but none of them are structural or cause any problems. The white/tortoise double binding on the body still looks good and is not deteriorating at all. There is a small amount of separation at the heel, but it is very stable and the neck angle is correct. Please let us know if you have any questions on this awesome guitar and we will do our best to help. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
