About This Listing

Vintage Fender Vibro Champ. Very clean condition. Built in December of 1966. I have owned this for well over 50 years. I bought this practically unused, from the original owner. He bought it for his kids, who lost interest quickly. It was kept unused in a closet until I bought it from him. All original except for the preamp tubes. The following mods were also made: the RCA speaker jack was replaced with a ¼” phone jack. The speaker was replaced with a 10” Jensen Mod. It comes with a custom vinyl cover. Please see the photos. Works great – sounds great. Asking $1700. I pay shipping via USPS Priority Mail.

Product Overview
The Black Panel Fender Vibro Champ was introduced in 1964 to build upon the success of the standard Champ Amp and ran until 1968, when cosmetic and circuit changes brought forth the "drip edge" Silverface amps. Still a Champ at heart, the Vibro Champ added a tube tremolo circuit with controls for Speed and Intensity, making this classic recording amp even more versatile without sacrificing any of the original tone. If you see a '64 for sale without a Fender badge -- worry not. No Vibro Champs had badges until '65...for whatever reason.
