For sale Very rare Lyle "SG" style bass. Plays great, and has a full, wonderful vintage tone for the size. Made in Japan in the 1960s by Matsumoku, the Teisco holding company.
The sound is nice, warm and rounded. It sounds like a mix between an EB bass and a Hofner Violin bass.
This bass is SUPER short scale. The neck almost feels like a guitar neck. Would be great for a kid or someone with small hands. The trussrod works fine. The pickups are very high output with on/off switch. There are some scratches at the body. No problem at all.
Over all, this is an amazing little vintage bass. Not a single issue or problem. Comes with a gigbag. As always, I oiled the board, polished the finish, sprayed out the electronics, changed the strings and tweaked the set up. This is an unbeatable vintage bass for this price range.
