Varita USA SOLTAR is handmade in California, USA under the supervision of Kunio Sugai.

Mr. Kunio Sugai started making guitars at the age of 15, and after moving to the United States after getting a job at a guitar manufacturing company, established his own brand "Performance Guitar'' in January 1979. A legendary builder who created setups and custom guitars for legendary musicians such as Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, and Michael Schenker. A USA model supervised by Mr. Sugai. Varita Custom Guitar is also famous as a guitar maker that is favored by the skilled Japanese guitarist Tsuyoshi Kon. This SOLTAR SSH has a beautiful quilted maple top that changes the grain depending on the viewing angle, and the body back is made of alder wood. The pickup is a VooDoo pickup for a vintage-like sound. It goes without saying that this guitar has outstanding playability and can be used with confidence by musicians in any field.
