Squier II Precision P Bass, MiK Early’90s Vintage, Orig. Hard Case!

I’m normally not a fan of the Fender Precision Bass, but there’s just something about these E-Serial Korean ones that is special. I normally prefer a Jazz Bass, but the necks on these are great, and it makes it just a joy to play. Do some research and you’ll see these Samick-built Squier IIs definitely have a following.

Anyway, regarding this particular instrument…

As you can see it is in very, very good condition. There are a couple of nicks through the finish on the front which I captured in a close-up. While those are not the only imperfections, the rest of the finish is in very good shape given the age. Unfortunately at some point the original owner elected to mount the pickup cover at the bridge, and there are screw holes from that, but they are under the now proper bridge cover. At this point, both tne bridge and pickup covers are held on with the dark gray 3M mounting tape. It works great and avoids additional screw holes. It is easy to remove should you want to remove them. The original white pickguard will be included, but there is a slight “white shadow“ from a sticker that was on it (see pic). I swapped the tortoise pickguard just because I always liked that look.

The controls function 100% without any static, the input jack is tight and clean, the tuners work well, and the pickup sounds good. It has brand new round-wound strings and it really plays great!

Probably the most unusual feature is the original Squier branded hard case. It’s just like the Fender cases of the era but molded with the Squier name. Very cool! It is not perfect but it is in very good shape and super clean.
